Why:

I know a lot of people loved this, but I hated it with a fiery passion because in 5 episodes it managed to:

1. Kill my favorite character (in a stupid way no less!)
2. Heap angst on my second favorite character to the point where he’s dead inside
3. Destroy one of the few established, ongoing queer couples on TV
4. Once again not have anything bad happen to Gwen. I swear, everyone else on that show gets awful shit dumped on them but somehow she always manages to dodge a bullet

What actually happened:
After Gwen and Owen’s tragic deaths at the end of Season 2, Tosh, Jack, and Ianto carried on kicking ass. Something nice actually happened to Tosh for a change and the Jack/Ianto relationship developed further. Ianto became such a breakout character that they gave him his own spin-off with Martha Jones called “Keeping Up With the Joneses”, wherein they kick ass, dress fabulously, and then talk mad shit about Jack and the Doctor over perfectly brewed coffee.

Actually, I quite agree with the first part, I mean it’s not like I wanted Gwen to die or anything, but it’s bloody obvious that nothing ever happens to her. Yeah, I know that nobody’s safe and everybody in TW dies young shit, but what about Gwen?  I love all the characters, honestly and Tosh and Owen were really dear to me. I’m not even talking about Ianto, I haven’t even stopped talking about him since CoE.
